I Was Originally Diagnosed With A Cornual Pregnancy Via Sonogram.
I was originally diagnosed with a cornual pregnancy via sonogram. I was taken off fertility meds for 4 days. During my second sonogram a strong heartbeat was detected. I went for a 3rd sonogram with another doctor and it was determined that it was not cornual with ample room for the growing sac/fetus. I still had a strong heartbeat. One week later I went for my fourth sonogram-no heartbeat. It still haunts me today that my poor baby was off the meds for 4 days and tried to sustain itself starting at 6wks2days but ultimately was unable to do so. 6 days later I was given 2 shots of methotrexate. My HCG is finally down to 390 but I have not passed or absorbed the fetus. I was told I need surgery but it would not be laparoscopically (machine not available on the date I am scheduled) but rather by small c-section type of incision. I am not comfortable with this approach. What is my next course of action?
