IBS, Abdominal Pain, Loose Stools, Discomfort. Permanent Medicine?

i am having ibs severely.i am having very severe abdominal pain .i am having loose stools every day.i am afraid of eating lunch breakfast and dinner bcoz anything i will eat after eating i am getting abdominal pain and feel like tight in my stomach .so that i am feeling incomfortablness in my stomach.i cannot sleep bcoz of this problem. In morning after emptying my bowel.i feel incomplete emptying of bowel and i am feeling sick and i am afraid of going to office.please give me any permanent medicine so that i can enjoy my married life.

Thank you for the query.

First you should have some diagnostics as IBS can be recognized only after ruling out all other reasons of such symptoms. It is advisable for you to have abdominal ultrasound, upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, fool blood work with liver and pancreas test, urine analysis, stool test. If you find this tests negative, abdominal CT with contrast should be done as well.
Only after all this tests you can be recognized with IBS.
It is very common that IBS is caused by pathologic bacterias growth in the intestines. Very good medicine for this condition is Rifaximine 400 mg 3 times a day. This is an antibiotic which is not absorbed and work only inside the intestine. IT gives very positive results and many IBS people find it as a remedy. Another very helpful medicine is Mebeverine. Both this medicines should be prescribed by your doctor.
