IBS, Diverticules In Descending Colon, Had Polyps, Ulcerative Colitis, Advised Meva C. Any Side Effects ?

I m ibs& diverticules in descending colon. i had polyps &ulcerative colites in 2007 , which were removed& treated by renouned doctor of oury country. frequent check ups,colonescopy in oct 2012 shows only diverticules.'ido take meva c two daily with lactobilses. guide me how long i could take meva c without side effects if there is any .

Thanks for writing in.

Meva C is mebeverine hydrochloride 135 mg, chlordiazepoxide 5 mg. It is an useful medication for IBS.

If you have had no problems after taking it, you could continue it for a while under supervision of your doctor.

The main side effects of this medication is in those who have pre existing liver, kidney or heart diseases. Please consult your doctor if necessary.
