If a person is getting gamma globulin infusions (because prophylactic antibiotics are no longer effective with her compromised immune system), will she get better protection against infection than a person with a normal immune system? Normal immune systems are sometimes not able to fight infections without using antibiotics. What happens if someone getting gamma globulin gets an infection that a normal, healthy immune system wouldn't be able to combat?
