What Medicine Can Be Taken For Head Ache With Xarelto?
I am a 57 yr old female with common variable hypo gamma globulin anemia who was recently put on xarelto for pulmonary embolisms I had a 7 hr gamma globulin infusion today and am experiencing a horrible headache I use to take aspirin or Tylenol but not what I can take with the xarelto
First, I recommend consulting with your GP for a careful physical examination to exclude any serious cause of headache(a possible stroke or intracranial hemorrhage). A brain CT scan may be needed for this purpose.
It is true that all the nonsteroidal drugs can have potential interactions when used concomitantly with xarelto, resulting in a higher risk for hemorrhage.
I recommend taking ibuprofen with caution, and carefully monitor for possible bleeding.
I also advise to closely monitor your blood pressure. A high blood pressure may be related to headache and possibly cause intracranial hemorrhage.
Hope to have been helpful!
Best wishes, Dr.Aida
