If There Is A Break On My Ankle After An Injury,would I Be Able To Walk On It?
Foot slipped as I climbed into my truck Sunday. Banged my ankle. Hurt but ignored it. By the time I got home it was badly swollen, bruising showed quickly. Looked worse Monday. Has not been painful to walk on then tonight a noticed it is bruised around the heel to the other side. The swelling is a little better. If there is a break would I be able to walk on it? Hello, Thanks for your query. From the description, I feel that you might have sustained a SOFT TISSUE STRAIN involving your ligaments or tendons. This will generally resolve within few weeks by the following measures - * Rest to the injured part and dont involve in activities which puts additional strain on the injured tissues. * Ice packing should be applied for about 20 minutes once in every 2 hours. * Analgesic & anti inflammatory medications Get an Xray done to ruleout any bony injury.
