Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I'm a 25 y.o female. I have had irregular periods since I could remember. Starting about 20 I could go months without a period. I got pregnant by surprise at 23 and have an 18 month old. I stopped having periods since he was born except twice when the doc put me on provera. This was about 6 months ago. 2 weeks ago I had an ultrasound and he saw cysts on my ovaries and diagnosed me wit PCOS. He said he wasn't worried at this point about me not having periods but I wanted to get pregnant. So he told me to take provera again for 3 months and hopefully I would pregnant when I came back in. I went home did my own research on natural ways to treat PCOS. And started taking vitamins, eating healthier, and taking fish oil. I started my period before I got a chance to get my provera filled. Do I need to take the provera this month? This is a normal period .
