Implanon Inserted, Cyst Like Infection Around Breast, Armpits, Long Menstrual Cycles, Had Green Mucus Discharge. Why?
Hi... I'm a 25 year old Female, 200 Lbs, 5ft 4in tall and I have had the implanon for a little over 2 years and I have noticed cyst like infections around my breasts and armpits and also my inner thigh's. I have been having weird menstral cycles, the last one was form mid April all the way to the 20th of September. Yes it lasted almost 5 months!!!! I am most concerned about a greenish mucus discharge I had yesterday it looked just like a mucus plug u loose just before you have a baby. should I be concerned???

Yes these are very concerning symptoms d\greenish mucus discharge indicate that it could be due to infections.
irregular periods can be due to side effects of the implanon
Patients who use IMPLANON are likely to have changes in their vaginal bleeding
patterns, which are often unpredictable. These may include changes in bleeding
frequency or duration, or amenorrhea.
Cyst with infetion in various site might be because of other cause not related to implanon, they should be promptly evaluated further.
my recommendations are to visit gynecologist for further on implanon and its side effects.

First of all, with such a long menstrual cycle, we should be worried about anemia. The bleeding could have various other causes and so you will have to be adequately investigated. Please get this done.
As for the greenish discharge, this could be a sign of some abnormality in the uterus, mostly an infection. Please visit a doctor at the earliest convenience.
