In 1977 I Had A Canal Wall Down Due To

In 1977 I had a canal wall down due to cholesteotoma. The ossicles were removed and an ear drum was fashioned. I developed Eustachion tube problems which required a tube. 3 years later when the tube fell out it left a hole in the eardrum which has grown larger over the years and drains and has a bad odor. I have used ear drops but as soon as I stop the drainage starts. My ENT says the hole is so large he does not think a patch will hold. Do I have any other options? I have a hearing aid but when I wear it the drainage gets worse.
