In April 2014 I Had Surgery To Fix My Vertebral

In April 2014 I had surgery to fix my vertebral artery dissecting aneurysm and I still have nerve damage. My tongue bends to the right. I slur my words. Need to concentrate hard in order to walk straight and I have constant tingle, nerve pain in left leg up to waist. The neurosurgeon told me they were miles away from the nerves ( a whole 2mm) but if damaged then just have to live with it. Will this pain and damage ever fix itself?
