age 46, PSA level 4.4 (3/2012), 4.8(5/2012 after 2 weeks cipro) 5.2 (9/2012 after 2 weeks cipro) WBC in urine 4-6 (3/2012), Many (5/2012 after 2 weeks cipro) 8-10 (9/2012 after 2 weeks cipro) abd US Prostate: normal (30cc), TRUS decrease echognicity in TZ is observed (32cc). scheduled for TRUSB What can be the problem?

Your successive serum PSA show increased levels over a period of six months This is reason your Dr had suspected to have a cancer of the prostate Your ultrasound scanning has also revealed a suspicious hypo echoic lesion in transitional zone So it is safe to get your TRUS guided biopsy done to confirm the diagnosis.Pl do not worry even it turns out to be positive as malignancy of the prostate if treated before it spreads outside the capsule give 100 % better resultsand improves quality of life.
