Infant. Have Suspected GERD. Severe Vomiting After Being On Enfamil Thickened Formula, Soya, Zantac. Any Esophageal Damage?

my 6 month old some has suspected GERD, he is on Enfamil thickened formula and I have tried soya but still vomits 15 + times a day. He has been prescribed Zantac but 30 sec after I administer the dose he vomits it up. He is gaining weight adequately but I am concerned with esophageal damage. What or who should I be see regarding this problem. My family doctor has been of little help.

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic
when he is gaining weight normally you need not worry
this is not vomiting. it is regurgitation, usual in infants up to 6-7 months
give feeding in propped up position
continue thickened formula
if no improvement upper GI endoscopy to be done to exclude esophageal injury
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
Take care
