Infant Has Eczema And Hives On Forehead. Breast Fed. What Is Going On?
My 3 month old little boy is exlusively breast fed. He has already been diagnosed with eczema but for the past week has had an outbreak of, what seems to be, hives on his forehead that gets worse when he rubs his face on our shoulder or something. Could this be caused by allergies or is it just a different form of eczema?
hi..thanks for writing here.It could be either eczema or a fungal infection, both things are common in infants. You can apply cortisone cream along with nizral cream over rash.Use mild soap ,apply lot of emollient after bath, you can use antifungal shampoo twice weekly like nizral lotion. If still problem persists then better to consult a dermatologist.
