Infant Having Fungal Infection On Her Neck, Applied Cream, No Relief. What To Do?

hi! My 4 month old daughter has a fungal infection on her neck according to her pediatrician . We applied Elica cream and Lamisil on it but it seemed that the wound was deep and round after we applied Elica on it. We went to her pedia a month ago and the infection was plain, red and scaly. After we applied the cream, there were no redness surrounding her neck, just 3 red and deep wounds on it which was not present the last time we went to her pedia.. After a month of treatment, the 2 small round wounds disappear but the heart shaped one remained. It has pus sometimes especially when her neck and chest met.. help me pls.. I dont want a scar on my baby s neck!

This is likely a yeast infection and you should try clotrimazole (Lotrimin AF) cream on it twice daily for a few days as this is a better treatment than what you have been using. That area in infants is often infected due to the folds of skin in the neck that are always moist and don't get enough air.
