Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
The episode which happened with her was like a seizure. Was there any fever at the time of seizure?because if there was then she might have had a febrile seizure which reqiure only intermittent antiepileptic medication.Did the docter check for Calcium levels because sometimes low calcium is also a cause of correctable seizure. If non of the above are present then the docter has rightly suggested EEG which will help in diagnosing a seizure activity in the brain .If it comes positive then she might need to take the medicine for long term.If such episodes are continuing then the medicine will need to be titrated discuss this with her docter.
Bye
Take care.
