Hi my 7 month old has a purple lump on the inside top of her ear its about the size of a pea but flatter. She has been unsettled, brings up food and her milk but its only small amounts and she has been pulling at her ears and been unbalanced. Her hands and feet feel a little cold but no temps. She came out in a rash 5 days ago with lumpy bits all over her face with some parts of it pinkish and the dr said its just a viral thing. The purple lump has only been noticed today. Hi,

The lump which you are describing located behind the ear could be a lymph node.It has become pea size because of the viral infection your child suffered earlier.

If the size is less than a centimetre then you don't need to worry it will disappear in few weeks .If the lymph node is painful then you will have to get her examined by her doctor.

Regards
Take care
