Hi
How long has she been having this problem? How long does it last and does she sleep off after that?
Since you say she has problem with her bowels, it has to be addressed. Hard stools when passing through the intestines can cause pain.
Dietary modifications are needed- lot of fresh fruits, vegetables, fruit juices should be added in her diet.
Its better to avoid refined tinned food/ junk food/ rice based food/ potato/ banana etc.
Plenty of water should be given.
If needed discuss with your doctor and get stool softeners prescribed.
Concentrated sugar solution daily will be helpful.
Some of the other causes of night awakening are
- They make it a habit to get up for a feed at that time.
-
Teething pain
- Disturbances from surroundings
- Temperature variation in the room
-
Acid reflux etc
These causes may be looked for and treated accordingly.
Hope my answer helps you.
Wish your kid good health.
