Inguinal Hernia, Had Surgery, Pain In Scrotum, Nausea. What Can Be Done?
my husband had an inguinal hernia and had surgery .since the surgery he has had alot of pain in his scrotum and down the inside of his leg, on the right side. also on the surgery site it is very tender. He also suffers with nausea daily. We have been to many doctors and he is using pain medication since it took place. They say it is a da aged nerve due to surgery. Is there anything else we can do, so he does not have to live with thixs for the rest of his life, he is only 47.
I am really sorry for his condition. Usually, this kind of pain has the possibility of chronic infection of the surgical site, damage to the nerve as your doctor mentioned, strangulation of tissue at that site etc. However, physical examination is needed to properly assess. A well experienced general surgeon is good for diagnosis. I do not that he has to bare all this pain throughout his life.
Take care
