Intense Thumb Pain After A Bang On It. History Of Fracture On Scaphoid Bone. Cause?

Hi I hand a screw put through my scaphoid bone as I had a fracture in it it was delayed surgery I had it 7 weeks ago and I am now back at work after having 4 months off cause of the fracture and I dropped a piece of wood on my thumb and now it is aching like a muscle or something would I have of pulled a muscle? My wrist and thumb have had splints and plaster on them for 4 months by the way.

I would suggest you to show it to orthopaedic surgeon and get x ray of the wrist joint to see if there is any screw loosening or any other damage has happened to fracture. It is difficult to comment with out x ray on this.
