Involuntary Twitching In Left Thumb After Taking Treatment For Pylera Treatment. Will This Side Effect Be Permanent?

Hi, I recently went on a 10 day PYLERA treatment, which on day 10, I ended up in the E.R., after suffering a involuntary twitching that started on my left thumb. During the treatment, it was a horrible experiance. My thumb continues to twitch throughout the day/night. I am also constantly thirsty, even tho I taking in a very good amount of liquids. Will these side effects be permanent? I am very concerned...please help!

Hi, there is no side effect of twitching of the muscles, but there may be pain and weakness of muscles. The unbearable twitching could be due to defeciency of the calcium, or potassium, or due to pressure on the radial nerve due to some or other reason. So consult a neurologist for diagnosis and treatment. Thank you.
