is devry a contraceptive pill, i have pcod and am taking non hormonal tablets to controll the same, i don't get periods naturally so did laproscopy for the same, got spotting for first two months then no spottting post that twice my doc suggested to have devry to get periods, please confirm is devry is like any other contraceptive pill
Hello Thanks for your query. Deviry is NOT a contraceptive pill. Deviry contains only progesterone. It is frequently prescribed to women with PCOD to help them conceive naturally. It corrects the associated hormonal imbalance inherent in women with PCOD. When taken cyclically, it causes withdrawal bleeding , and corrects the menstrual irregularities. If you wish for a contraceptive effect then opt for a different preparation. Take care.
