Irregular Periods. Dark Green Stools. Related Symptoms?

Okay so I am 17 years old and I am not sexually active what so ever but my period is very irregular. I got it for the first time at 12 and I could probable count on both hands how many times I ve gotten it since the first time. I have missed my period for like 7 months now and I started pooping a dark green color are these related or should the color go away soon? Should I be worried ? I don t know.

Hello ma'am.

Yes, this should be checked. But the most common cause for an irregular period since the menarche is polycystic ovarian disease or syndrome. For this reason I would advice a transvaginal ultrasound scan and a hormone test which will confirm/rule out the condition. There are a few other conditions that can cause such a presentation, and will help diagnose the exact cause.
