Is Augmentin Advisable Along With Doxycycline?
Hi I have a sinus infection and was prescribe augmentin 2x for seven days, on my fifth day. I was recently diagonosed with chronic lyme disease and was given a prescription for Doxychcline hyclate 100mg tablets 2x a day for 30 days. Is it safe to take both antibodics for 2 days of should I wait finish the Augmentin first?

It would be best to wait until the augmentin has been completed.
Augmentin contains amoxicillin and clavulanate. Doxycyline decreases the effectiveness of the amoxicillin so it would not work as it should.
After you complete the augmentin, you can start the doxycycline.
