Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I tested positive for chlamydia and was prescribed Azithromycin, which were 2 pills. I didn t know whether I was supposed to take both at the same time, so I ended up taking them 10 hours apart - does this make the medicine ineffective? Should I be worried?
Azithromicin is one of the most common medication given to treat chlamydia. The tablets should be taken at once. You should not worry because they are effective even if you take them with ten hours of difference.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
