Is Babygesic Advisable To Treat Mild Fever In Infants?
My baby had a convulsion a few days back and was admitted for the same ... she is all well now, but has been irritable and cranky ever since. Also she gets up crying every now and then.. She also sometimes cries before passing urine.. Do I need to worry?? Also the doc has asked us to give her babygesic if we feel she has fever. Today we felt she had fever. Though the temp on the thermometer shows normal temp, her body feels warm to touch.. So in that case should we give her babygesic or monitor her and keep checking her temp?? The 1st thought after seeing that her temp was normal, was that the thermometer might be broken... pls advice.
If you are not sure about the thermometer, you may need to buy another one so that you can be sure to get an accurate reading.
It would be best to use the medication only when she has a documented fever because you wouldn't want to give her medication that her body does not need. The hands are not a good judge of temperature but if she is obviously very hot then you should give the medication.
I hope this helps
