Is Ceftum An Effective Medicine For An 80-year-old?
My MOM 80yrs old post abdomen operation was given tripenim antibiotic 3x1gr for 4 vial. But Blood test showed white blood cells count increased to 18.50 from 10.18. Doctor recommended to change tripenim with Tygacyl 2x100mg for 1 week, but family request for other lower priced drug. Doctor recommend Ceftum 2x 400mg for day 1, thereafter 2x200mg. Upon checking at internet, Ceftum is for urinary track. My question: is Ceftum the right or best alternative substitute? Thank you!
Ceftum is a broad spectrum antibiotic and can be used in a variety of conditions including abdomen infection also. No need to worry. Continue with treatment.
