Is Cleocin Right Medication For Prolonged Severe Staph Infection?

I have been maintaining a staph infection and have many boils as a result. I currently have one the size of an egg on my right cheek and it is VERY painful. Can it get in my eye? My doctors keep throwing anti-biotics at me. Last month I finished 2 weeks of bactrin and now am on Cleocin 300 mg 4x a day. Is this the best medicine for this?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The Cleocin contains Clindamycin which is used as an anti histamine and antibiotic responsible to control ample number of infections. The Cleocin gives best results in Staph infection, however, it is best determined by the culture sensitivity report of the blood or other pus containing boil site. Please let me know your available reports for further healthy discussion.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
