Father with history of LAD MI in 50 s. Now 82. Also has moderate COPD and is Type 1.5 diabetic with some acute renal issues. BP is always normal and now running in 70 s/40 s. Cardiologist has him on Coreg and Lasix.(recently doubled dosage to 4o mg??) Nephrologist wants him off both. Question what Coreg is doing to Pulmonary function. Your thoughts?
Coreg is a brand name of Carvedilol. It is used to treat congestive cardiac failure because is heart is not working properly and to relieve congestion Coreg and Lasix are prescribed. His treatment is going on the right track and nothing much to worry about it.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
