hi,
Thanks for asking. I understand your concern.
No, Cyclonorm is not indicated after use of unwanted 72. Unwanted 72 itself is a hormonal preparation.. & leads to delay in normal periods by about 8-12 days.
The bleeding you had on 9th seems to be withdrawal bleeding which usually occurs within 8 days of use . In your case it was a bit late.
The normal period is mostly delayed by 8-10 days as an effect of Unwanted 72.
If the periods are delayed by more than 21 days .. it is suggested to check by home pregnancy test for pregnancy( in a very rare case.. it may get + ve ) You got your HPT done on 7th feb... which was -ve, still had no periods.
This suggests some other cause for delayed menses in your girl friend's case.I would suggest few investigations for her.. ( Thyroid function test/ USG abdomen/ ovarian hormonal assay/ X ray abdomen. ). This will help in pin pointing the cause of the delay.
You should consult & get the investigations done under her guidance... this will solve your problem.
*Lastly one more thing .. Unwanted 72 is an emergency contraceptive with high dose hormones in it. It must be used conservatively at an emergency only & not as a routine contraceptive. Repeated use ( like you had ) may cause hormonal imbalance & menstrual problems.
Thanks.
