Is Doxycycline The Right Antibiotic For Infected, Swollen And Draining Lower Leg?
My husband has been on sulfamethoxazole-the DS for an infection in his rt lower leg. Leg is extremely swollen and draining . Lower leg is mottled. CNP has now changed antibiotic to Doxycycline. Is this a good Change? Leg looks like amputation is getting close. Patient is very stubborn. I am a former RN and am having difficulty working with my husband . I need some advice because patient won t go to a M.D. YYYY@YYYY
