Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Apixaban, which is sold under the trade name Eliquis, is an anticoagulant for the treatment of venous thromboembolic events. It is a blood thinner. However, it would be advisable to take the medication only on consultation with the doctor, as such medications needs to be taken with caution and under medical supervision.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
All the best.
Regards,
Dr.Ashakiran.S.
