Is Euflexxa Injection Advisable For Severe Knee Pain?

I have had Syncisc injections for arthritis in both knees in the past and after awhile it stopped being effective. I now get cortisone every three months but it only works for a month. Someone told me about Euflexxa. Could that possibly give me a better result than the Synvisc? I don t have bone on bone, but I m in constant pain.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As, Both Synvisc and Euflexxa`s basic content are same I suggest you to continue Synvisc one injection with other drugs. I suggest you to take T.Ultracet BD (twice daily after food) for 5 days. If your symptoms still persist then consult an Orthopedics for further change in your treatment if you need.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
