Hello.Raloxifene is a drug less effective than the gold standard drugs against osteoporosis called Bisphosphonates (alendronate, risedronate) but is useful for prevention of osteoporosis. When a doctor prescribes a drug for symptoms and signs of menopause, he must consider its effectiveness and adverse effects. Raloxifene is effective in treating signs and symptoms of menopause and also protects against breast cancer and uterine cancer. I wish you good health.
