Is Glimy 1mg The Right Medication To Control Blood Sugar Levels?

Hello Dr, I am regularly monitoring my glucose level at least weekly once, my glucose level is 120-130 in fasting and 150-160 in PP, i am talking glimy 1 mg every day morning 30 min . before food. please advice should I take any additional medicine for control well.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
Glimepiride (GLIMY)is a medium- to long-acting antidiabetic drug. It is indicated to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus. its mode of action is to increase insulin production by the pancreas.
Your blood glucose level is 120-130 in fasting and 150-160 in PostPrandial, which is slightly high in fasting condition. you should do regular exercise & walking. Your blood glucose level will improve.
You can take metformin 500mg along with glimy 1mg. This would increase the effectiveness of glimy 1mg.
You should also do a Hb1ac test which gives blood glucose control in long run. Visit your physician if problem persist.
