hi my hubby is having type2 diabetes since 2years, our health doctor suggested to take glyciphage sr at the first but now he prescribed glimy 1mg. is his diagnosis correct or is there any other medication? my husband's sugar levels are almost ranging from 100 fasting and 158 random sugar levels . pls advise.
Hello, Both the medicines are all right for control of diabetes. If the levels of blood sugar are fasting 100 and random 158 with glyciphage, then there is no need to start glimmipride. In addition he should take proper dietary control along with regular aerobic exercises for at least 45 minutes a day. Thanks
