Is HIV Transmission Possible Through Non Penetrative Sex?

I am a 21 year old gay male. I had oral sex with a stranger last night, he did not ejaculate in my mouth - I do not know if any seminal fluid leaked from his penis before. I have a sore throat (from before this incident) and I m really worried about my risk of contracting HIV and whether I should get PEP treatment.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
Understand your concern.
Yes HIV can be transmitted by the oral sex,
Risk is lower compared to penetrative sex, but not zero.
Ulcer , bleeding gums further increased risk.
So if you do not the HIV status of sexual partner.
Better to take PEP treatment.

Hope this may help you.
Best regards.
Dr, Sagar
