Is Hcg Advisable For Weight Loss?

I am taking one - 125mcg Synthroid, 25 mg Hydrochlorothiazide, 16mg Candesartan Cilexetil and 20mg Fluoxetine daily and would like to try Hcg. My weight has gone up consistently and I would be happy with even a 15 lb. loss if I could take these drops. Thank you for your help. Vivian Dobbs, YYYY@YYYY .

Hi dear. Everyone wants change in a pill. I am afraid you are gambling with some potential huge side effects if you take Hcg and the diet that goes with it. It is banned in certain countries. HCG is a fertility drug with no effects on weight loss. The diet can cause blood clots and gall stones. Change your lifestyle and start and exercise program, learn to eat healthfully for life not the moment for weight loss, take healthy supplements that will encourage the changes you are making and join a support group to sustain those changes. I wish you good luck in finding a good weight loss and support program. Kathy Shattler, MS,RDN
