Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is Hydroxychloroquine 200 Mg Safe For Rheumatoid Arthritis?
I have been prescribed to take hydroxychloroquine 200 tab twice a day fro RA. I am nervous about taking it because of the talk about disturbing one's vision. I only have one eye and am not too crazy about losing the vision in it. Also am wondering if the quine in the word means there is sulfer in this medicine. Thanks.
I would recommend you to ask your doctor to avoid this medication as it is not single tablet for this. Other safe options like SAAZ, Methotrexate can be tried. With HCQ you need to take it under supervision of an eye expert and you need to have regular eye check up. If you feel any blurring of vision than you need to stop it immediately. Also it does not contain sulfur for your information. thanks.
