Is I-pill Taken On The 13th Day Of Menstrual Cycle Effective?

Dr, I m currently on isotretinoin 20mg past 4 months and couple of days back I had to take an I- PILL( my dermatologist warned me of not getting pregnant before taking up the isotretinoin course)... Was it safe taking I-PILL on 13th day of my menstrual cycle?

Hi I think it depends on day of your ovulation. I pill prevent pregnancy by delaying ovulation. So, if ovulation had happened already, it's efficiency is not well proven. Wait for the periods. If periods get delayed, do a urine pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy first. If positive, consult a gynecologist. Hope it helps.
