Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist 's  Response
Hello,

As the ganglion cyst needs to be handled with the medical part as well as the physiotherapy part. As the medicine you are taking will help to reduce the pain and stiffness. But the movement will be restricted due to the cyst and the muscles will go into weakness leading to joint pains more off late.

It is advised to do a combination of drug therapy and physiotherapy together to get positive results. A physiotherapist will help to assess the location, joint movement and muscle functions. The use of therapeutic ultrasound therapy and TENS therapy will help reduce the inflammation and pain. With the simple mobilization of the joint, there will be a good change in the overall physical activity and functions as well.

In my clinical practice of over 12 years, most patients with ganglion cyst are helped better a combination of medical therapy and physiotherapy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
