General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Please don't get panic. Yes, meftal-p is safe if given in prescribed Doses & duration as advised by Dr. It's basically NSAID group of medicine.

To control Fever I would suggest you to give Paracetamol 6 hourly in Doses as per the weight of the kid.

And if Fever is on the higher side (>100°F) then cold sponging shall be helpful to bring down the body temperature.

4 hourly temperature charting shall be helpful to decide further course of treatment & need for investigations to be planned.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
