Is Meftal P Safe To Treat Fever In One Year Old?

my baby is 1 year ol and his weight around 10kg..he is having fever from last 3 days..i m giving crocin..but his fever back again in 4 to 5 hours 100 to 102 degree..now doc said meftal p..pls tell me is it safe nd dosage of medicine to be given to him?

Hi,

First of all it's sad to know what your kid had been going through lately.

Based on the history you have shared, yes it can be used in the children with a half tablespoon as per need during Fever spikes.

Also using acetaminophen or Tylenol can be helpful if the assurance of no liver disease is evident. Work up for the cause of fever should be done.
