Is Melacare Cream The Right Medicine To Reduce Dark Pigmentation?

Hi Doctor , Can I suggest my husband to use melacare cream , his skin is too dark from last 3 4 years and only face is dark , is there any harm using melacare without consulting doctor. If so plz suggest some other cream without any side effects. Thanks Sujata

Hi Sujata,

I understand your concern.

Malacare cream contains a combination of tretionin (form of vit.A) and steroid (mometasone) and hydroquinone. This combination will help skin renew by reducing the:
- accumulation of skin pigment
- production of inflammation byproducts
- growth of abnormal blood cells

If you notice any unusual symptom during its use, please stop using it.
Otherwise continue taking until improvement, but not for long time (longer than 2 or 3 weeks).
