Is Montek L C Safe To Continue During Diabetes And High B.P?

Hi, I have being suggested Montek L C for running nose and non stop sneezing as soon as I am awake and before I go to bed. I am recently diagnosed as prediabitic (Fasting Blood Sugar - 119.5 mg/dl and Post Prandial Blood Sugar - 131.7 mg/dl ) and have B. P also at 140/90. Shall I continue Montek L C or is there any alternate medicine in this situation. Kindly suggest. Thank you. Jagdish Bengalore - India.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
The pre diabetis, ans marginal hypertension may be due to the drug, or some other factor, like genetics.
I advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment. If there is no relation with the pills, you can continue them, or else you should stop them, and can have some other alternatives like fexofenidine, and montelekast.
What ever the reason is, the condition should be taken care of with the corresponding drugs.
wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
