Is Nortriptyline The Right Medicine For Anxiety And Insomnia?
What are the best types of Anti Anxiety medications for teens. My 13 year old daughter suffers anxiety and insomnia. She has tried therapy, but won t talk to the therapist, so she wasn t ready for it. She is currently taking Nortriptyline and after a couple of increases has not noticed a difference. I would like to find something that works for her with the least risk of side effects. We have a family history of Anxiety and depression. Thanks.

Hi. Nortriptyline is an antidepressant and has been used for depression but lately has been used to aid in sleep/insomnia.
A good choice of antidepressant will be a low dose SSRI which will be Fluoxetine or Citalopram
