I had a constant cough for a week and half doc gave me antibiotics which helped but was still getting a tickle in throat and chest, then started to gasp for air like something was covering my windpipe. I do get mucus in my throat evening and mornings and when i was coughing and tryng to get the mucus up thats when i could not get any air. I have i hope learnt how to stop this happening by breathing through my nose then breathing out of my mouth, but am frightened of it happening again. At first it was only for a couple of seconds then I had one that lasted five minutes . Doctor said it was acid reflux but I dont get any heartburn or indigestion as i am taking pantaprozole for that. My cousin suffered with same thing and his doc said it was a virus.
