Is Primolut N The Right Medicine For Irregular Menstruation?
Hello! I am 52 years old. When I was 41 I had irregular & heavy bleeding & was told it was perimenopausal & put on primolut N. since then I have been on it till now. My periods are regular though of less duration. I am concerned as to why menopause hasn t taken place? Is it because of the medication. Everyone in my family has had menopause by the age of 48-50. I am therefore wondering if it is because of the medication.
Hi, I think you should stop taking primolut N now. You can observe few months without it, whether you get your periods or not. If you continue taking it, you will continue getting your periods which is known as withdrawal bleeding. Discuss with your doctor regarding this. Hope I have answered your question.
