is Stemetil od Serc the same medication for Vertigo? Do they work? My mother had a bad fall and has been in re-hab with a brain injury from the fall due to Vertigo. She is recovering well. Can she take these medications so she doesn t get dizzy and fall again?
Hello and welcome to HCM I have read by and understood your query I hope this will help.. SERC contains BETA HISTINE which is a vasodilator agent used to treat vertigo and diziness..it is however different from from STEMETIL which contains PROCHLORPERAZINE which is also used in treatment of vertigo and dizziness. As far as there use is concerned YES you can use them for your mother.. There side effect profile is not that bad and they are quite effective in control of vertigo and dizziness. I Hope I answered your query Regards Dr faeza
