General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Your mother might need 3 antihypertensive medications together. Telista h is combination of ACE inhibitor telmesartan and diuretic hydrochlorthiazide. I would also recommend calcium channel blockers like clinidipine along with this. It is better to hospitalize her now as this is a hypertensive emergency. She should be checked for target organ damage. ECG should be taken and consultation with ophthalmologist should be done to rule out retinopathy. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
