Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I use timolol eye drops for glaucoma. Is that a beta blocker? Wondering if it is ok to take with bromfed DM? Also got an rx for amoxicillin, is that ok as well? They told me to get saline spray but it is not helping at all. Just need to get nasal passages to open up somehow
Hello,my name is dr.Dorina Gurabardhi. About your concern,Timolol drops are a beta-blocker. It works to decrease fluid production and pressure inside the eye.Its ok to use it with bromfed DM because thay dont iteract with each other. If saline spray does not help you can use other decongestants that come in pills, liquids, nose drops, and nasal sprays. Many are available without a prescription. Common decongestants include for example oxymetazoline. Hope my answer was helpful. Regards
